The Black Asteroids, Ghana’s eFootball team, will represent the nation in the FIFAe Nations League 2026 qualifiers, set to begin on April 14, 2026. This competition serves as a key stage in the journey to the FIFAe World Cup 2026.
Drawn into Group C for Matchweek 1, Ghana will compete against DR Congo, Libya, South Sudan, and Seychelles. The qualifiers will be held entirely online across three matchweeks, with teams earning Consistency Points based on their performances in both group and knockout stages.
The top teams will qualify for the FIFAe Continental Championships, the final step before the World Cup, with qualification determined either by accumulated points or top performances in the final week.
Currently ranked 24th globally in the console category, the Black Asteroids are eager to challenge Africa’s best eFootball nations and make their mark on the international stage.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has also partnered with the National Information Technology Agency to ensure high-speed internet support, providing optimal conditions for players during the competition.
All matches involving the Black Asteroids will be streamed live on the GFA’s YouTube channel.
