Former GFA Vice President George Afriyie believes the Black Stars have what it takes to shock England in their second Group L match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Following Ghanaβs 1-0 win over Panama, Afriyie said recent World Cup results have shown that football giants can be challenged. He pointed to Congoβs draw with Portugal and Moroccoβs result against Brazil as proof that Ghana can also defeat England.
He urged Ghanaians to believe in the team, insisting that big names do not guarantee victory and that the current Black Stars squad is determined to make history.
Ghana will face England on June 23 before taking on Croatia in their final group game.
