De Graafschap sign Paul Reverson on loan

De Graafschap have bolstered their goalkeeping options with the signing of Ghanaian shot-stopper Paul Reverson from Ajax on a season-long loan deal.

The 21-year-old keeper also comes with an option to buy, giving the Superboeren a flexible deal as they continue shaping their squad for the season ahead.

Reverson is no stranger to De Vijverberg. He spent part of last season there with Jong Ajax, so he already knows the atmosphere and what the supporters expect on matchday. That familiarity should help him settle quickly in Doetinchem.

Technically manager Berry Powel welcomed the signing and highlighted Reverson’s mix of footwork and reflexes, qualities that fit the team’s style. For a club that values playing out from the back, that profile makes him an appealing addition.

Reverson is clearly excited too. He said last season’s experience at De Vijverberg left an impression on him, and he is looking forward to playing in front of a full stadium for De Graafschap fans.

The move gives Reverson a fresh chance to grow, while De Graafschap gain a young goalkeeper with upside, top-club training background and the motivation to make an immediate impact.
