Prince De-Henry Educational Complex Marks 25th Anniversary, Unveils New Executive Chairman

Prince De-Henry Educational Complex, a private educational institution in Ghana, on Saturday celebrated its 25th anniversary with a colourful ceremony that brought together traditional authorities, education stakeholders, parents, alumni and invited guests to commemorate the school’s contribution to education over the past quarter of a century.

The silver jubilee celebration, held on August 1, was marked by reflections on the school’s achievements in academic excellence, discipline and character formation, while outlining an ambitious vision for its future growth.

A major highlight of the event was the formal introduction of renowned boxing promoter and sports administrator, Dave Bishop, as the school’s new Co-Director and Executive Chairman.

Mr Bishop, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Bishop Boxing Promotions and a presidential aspirant for the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), pledged to work closely with the school’s management to strengthen academic standards, improve infrastructure and create opportunities for students to excel both in the classroom and in extracurricular activities.

His appointment was officially acknowledged in the presence of respected traditional leaders, Obrempong Nii Wetse Kojo and the Paramount Chief of James Town, Nii Adotey Otintor II, who offered their blessings and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting quality education within the community.

Speaking during the ceremony, speakers praised the founders and management of Prince De-Henry Educational Complex for their dedication to nurturing generations of responsible and confident young people over the past 25 years.

They noted that the school’s sustained investment in quality teaching, discipline and holistic child development had earned it a respected place within Ghana’s private education sector.

The anniversary celebration featured cultural performances by pupils, musical displays, poetry recitals and presentations highlighting the institution’s journey since its establishment. Outstanding teachers, staff members and distinguished alumni were also recognised for their contributions to the school’s success.

Parents and invited guests commended the school’s leadership for maintaining high educational standards and expressed confidence that the appointment of Mr Bishop would usher in a new era of innovation, strategic partnerships and institutional development.

As Prince De-Henry Educational Complex begins its next chapter, management reaffirmed its commitment to providing quality education while producing graduates equipped with the knowledge, values and leadership skills needed to contribute meaningfully to national development.
